Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship


The Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship is a highly selective scholarship for the nation’s top community college students seeking to complete their bachelor’s degrees at four-year colleges or universities. Each Cooke Scholar has access to generous financial support for two to three years, college planning support, ongoing advising, and the opportunity to connect with the thriving community of fellow Scholars.

Levels: Be a current student at an accredited U.S. community college or two-year institution with sophomore status by January 1, 2022
Minimum GPA: 3.5 GPA

COMTO NorCal Future of Transportation Scholarships

“The Northern California Chapter of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO NorCal) is a national, multi-ethnic professional organization founded in 1971 to advance the representation of minority professionals in the transportation industry, nurture their career growth through networking and training, and champion equitable transportation development. A cornerstone of COMTO’s work is supporting the next generation of transportation professionals. By providing financial support for students in need.

COMTO’s annual Future of Transportation Scholarship Program is currently seeking applicants through November 1, 2021 for scholarship awards of $500 – $3,000 each.”


Levels: Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors 
Undergraduate minority students who are California residents or are actively enrolled in an accredited community college or university in Northern California. Minorities include: African-American, Hispanic-American, Native-American, and Asian-American including Pacific Islander diasporas.

Department of Defense SMART Program

The SMART Program provides STEM students with the tools needed to pursue higher education and begin a career with the DoD. With a full scholarship, students pursuing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) degrees will be able to focus on complex research to further the DoD’s mission and create lasting impact. SMART is a one-for-one commitment; for every year of degree funding, the scholar commits to working for a year with the DoD as a civilian employee.  Summer internships prepare scholars for full-time employment and get them accustomed to working with the DoD.


Levels: Undergraduate and Graduate Students
Citizenship Status: a citizen of the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, or United Kingdom at time of application.
Minimum GPA: 3.0 GPA

Coca Cola First Generation Scholarship


Students must be first generation college students of Hispanic descent. First generation is defined as neither parent has a degree from a four-year institution in the United States. Must be attending a HACU member institution.
